“It was an amazing experience to book Missy Elliott’s North American arena tour in 2024, it was even more gratifying when she won Pollstar’s ‘Hip Hop Tour of The Year’ in 2025,” says Seth Shomes when asked of his most impactful initiatives this year. “Her talent and creativity are limitless, and I was so happy for her and her team when she won.” 

Kicking off in July of 2024 and featuring Ciara, Busta Rhymes and Timbaland, the “Out Of This World—The Missy Elliott
Experience” was, shockingly, the rap icon’s first-ever headlining tour. Stops included double arena plays at Atlanta’s State
Farm Arena and L.A.’s Crypto.com Arena on its way to grossing $42 million.

DADP also repped Xscape, Total, Mya, and 702 on their first- ever headlining tour, the “Queens of R&B Tour” which was also nominated for a Pollstar Award for R&B Tour Of The Year and sold over 245,000 tickets and grossed some $13 million.

Shomes’ success has led to a slew of exclusive worldwide R&B and hip-hop signings, including Bow Wow, Bobby Brown, El DeBarge, Teddy Riley, Lil’ Kim, Fat Joe and Remy Ma.

Outside of R&B hip-hop, Shomes is working with 98 Degrees, Aaron Lewis, Tyler Henry – The Hollywood Medium, Don McLean, Wayne Newton and Matt Fraser – America’s Top Medium, among others. 

Even with today’s uneven economy, Shomes is bullish on the market. “My favorite word to use for Day After Day is ‘scrappy’ as we pride ourselves on our hustle, determination, and dedication. It is definitely tough out there, but that is never a time to take our foot off the gas pedal – for us it is just the opposite.” 

With his banner year, Shomes was nominated for Pollstar’s Bobby Brooks Agent of The Year Award, which he attributes to his staff:  “Although I am of course appreciative of those that nominated me, we are a team at Day After Day, so I gladly share all accomplishments with my incredible colleagues.”
