LAST JOB THAT WASN’T IN THE LIVE BIZ: ”Waitress In college. Wow, this business sure did get a hold of me early! I was a really good waitress, though.”

This year, Stacy Vee followed up a sellout crowd of 85,000 at Stagecoach in Indio, California, with the sold-out, inaugural Morgan Wallen presents Sand In My Boots, a three-day festival in Gulf Shores, Alabama.
“Seeing country music continue its rise and enjoying one of the most eclectic, energetic and successful years in Stagecoach history was especially gratifying,” she says, noting the inaugural Sand In My Boots festival as a particularly rewarding endeavor.
Inspired by Wallen’s No. 1 hit by the same name, Sand In My Boots was largely curated by the artist with a strong mix of talent including Post Malone, Brooks & Dunn, HARDY, — country upstarts, crossover appeal, rappers and indie rockers. When it went on sale in October, all 40,000 tickets sold out in two hours. The event shared a site with the former Hangout Festival.
“The site is so special, the community embraced us with open arms, the artists left it all on the stage and I had the absolute best time putting this show together with the best partners,” offers Vee, who was named EVP of AEG Presents subsidiary Goldenvoice in August 2023.
Vee applies her 27 years in the industry and diverse musical taste to her role, where she’s known as a driving force behind the long-running success of Goldenvoice’s Stagecoach event in particular. She regularly takes chances blending genres because she believes that country fans are music enthusiasts willing to embrace discovery.
Volatility in the market has forced Vee to be more intentional, precise, creative and strategic. “We need to deliver a must-see lineup to stand above,” she explains.
In a high-stress field, Vee prioritizes a healthy work/life balance.
“Having a happy life outside of the business only makes us better, or that is how I see it at least,” she says. “Also, appreciating the life we have built for ourselves, exercise and eating right goes a long way – be good to yourself so you can be good to others.”
