LEISURE Announce ‘Welcome To The Mood Tour,’ Single & Album

LEISURE, the Auckland-based soul-electronic collective, have announced a fall tour spanning North America and Europe, a move that places them on track for their biggest international run to date. The trek includes a number of high-profile performances at large clubs and theaters, including Terminal 5 (New York), The Novo (Los Angeles), Vic Theatre (Chicago), and Roundhouse (London). Along with their tour, the six-piece announced their fifth studio album, Welcome To The Mood, (Nettwerk), set for release on Sept. 12, 2025.
The tour also includes a festival appearance at at Austin City Limits on Oct. 10.. The group have previously played Lollapalooza, M3F, Outside Lands and Laneway.
Founded in 2015, LEISURE have steadily built its online presence now up to 530 million streams. According to Pollstar Boxoffice Reports, the group’s Aug. 4, 2024 gig at the Majestic Theatre in Madison, WI grossed $8,607 and sold 344 tickets; while their sold-out Nov. 18, 2023 show at Washington, D.C.’s 9:30 Club grossed $19, 238 and moved 873 tickets.
The group is represented in North America by UTA’s Adam Ogushwitz and Nicole Schoen Visconti and managed by Amy Goldsmith at Goldie Management. They’re repped by Cult Artists in Australia and Asia.
Welcome To The Mood builds on the momentum of their 2023 release Leisurevision, but with a twist: The band pivoted creatively and is recording its new project with a more live-forward approach. Many of the band’s pre-programmed loops are now gone and in their place are live drums, strings, brass, pianos, and backing vocals.
“Off the back of touring the last album, we had played more shows than ever and wanted to bring more of the live element into the process,” the band said in a statement. “The result is a record that captures the fluidity of their stage presence, translated into immersive studio production.
According to the release, the album was in part inspired by famed-architect Frank Lloyd Wright and his Taliesin West property where they recorded and released a new live performance video of their new single “Missing You” (below). The track is also featured on the official soundtrack for “Materialists,” the upcoming A24 romantic thriller directed by Celine Song and starring Dakota Johnson, Pedro Pascal, and Chris Evans.
“It’s incredible how even in 2025, the spaces Frank Lloyd Wright built in 1937 still feel futuristic and nostalgic at the same time,” the release continued. “That’s a goal for our music too.”
