My Morning Jacket Announces Special Shows To Celebrate 20th Anniversary Of ‘Z’

In celebration of the 20th anniversary of the album Z, My Morning Jacket is planning a series of special shows, playing the album in its entirety.
The shows are part of the second leg of the band’s “My Morning Jacket ‘is’ On Tour.” The Z shows are set for Red Rocks Amphitheatre Aug. 15, the Hollywood Palladium Aug. 19, Brooklyn Paramount Oct. 16, Chicago’s Salt Shed Oct. 26 and the Fox Theatre in Atlanta Nov. 1.
Tickets for all five shows are on sale now at https://www.mymorningjacket.com/tour.
“October 4 is the 20th anniversary of our album Z. It’s pretty wild to think about that,” says My Morning Jacket’s Jim James. “To celebrate two decades of it being out in the ether, we’re excited to be turning five of our shows into special Z anniversary shows, where we’ll play that album (and some other songs, don’t worry) front to back.”
In 287 headline reports in the Pollstar Boxoffice dating back to 2001, My Morning Jacket has grossed more than $31 million, selling nearly 761,000 tickets.
