Lewis Capaldi Announces Return From Hiatus With UK/Ireland Arena Tour

Glastonbury Festival 2025 Day Three
GLASTONBURY, ENGLAND – JUNE 27: Lewis Capaldi performs during day three of Glastonbury festival 2025 at Worthy Farm, Pilton on June 27, 2025 in Glastonbury, England. Established by Michael Eavis in 1970, Glastonbury has grown into the UK’s largest music festival, drawing over 200,000 fans to enjoy performances across more than 100 stages. In 2026, the festival will take a fallow year, a planned pause to allow the Worthy Farm site time to rest and recover. (Photo by Joseph Okpako/WireImage)

Lewis Capaldi followed up his jubilant return to Glastonbury and the release of his new single with the announcement of his first proper tour since going on hiatus in 2023. The September run features 10 shows in the U.K. and Ireland including two nights at The O2 in London.

An announcement from Capitol Records explains that his new single “Survive,” which was released on June 27, is “a bold, brave anthem that addresses a challenging period in his career that culminated at Glastonbury 2023 when, in an extremely difficult but unifying moment, the Pyramid Stage crowd helped carry an emotional Capaldi over the finish line.” Shortly after his 2023 appearance at the UK festival, Capaldi broke the news that he was taking a break to focus on his mental health. The Scottish singer/songwriter was diagnosed with the neurological disorder Tourette’s Syndrome the year before that.

Capaldi played a handful of shows in Scotland as a guest of mental health charity CALM in May and then was ready to return to Glastonbury as a surprise guest. The short setlist included the debut performance of “Survive” and his hit “Someone You Loved,” which the 2023 Gasto crowd helped him finish singing when he was struggling with tics caused by Tourette.

“I couldn’t sing this song two years ago. I might struggle to finish it today for different reasons,” Capaldi told the audience June 27, according to the BBC. “My name is Lewis Capaldi and I’m [expletive] back, baby.”

A write-up from the BBC noted that “The star’s entire set was a back and forth with the audience, as Capaldi alternated lines with fans who’d shown up to give him their love. It was one of the most moving and heart-warming spectacles I’ve ever witnessed at Glastonbury, or anywhere else, for that matter.”

The U.K./Ireland tour starts Sept. 7 at Utilita Arena in Sheffield, England. Stops include Glasgow’s OVO Hydro, Manchester’s Co-Op Live and 3Arena Dublin.

“about time I got back to work… hope to see you out there 🌸 x pre-sale opens // 9am // tues 8th register for pre-sale – bit.ly/LC-tour” Capaldi posted on Facebook.

Capaldi’s tour dates in Europe are booked by Wasserman Music’s Alex Hardee and Ryan Penty. They also book him in the Middle East and Africa. He is represented in the rest of the world by WME.

The most recent report submitted to Pollstar Boxoffice for Capaldi was a May 31, 2023, show at Mediolanum Forum in Assago, Italy that sold 11,619 tickets and grossed $522,035 (Euro $487,963).
