Usher Cancels Australian Return

Usher’s long-delayed return to Australia is off.
Twelve shows in Melbourne and Sydney were on the docket in November and December for the eight-time Grammy winner as part of his “Past Present Future” tour. Live Nation, via Ticketek’s website confirmed the cancellation July 4.
“The promoter of Usher’s Australian tour regrets to advise that the scheduled shows to take place in November/December will no longer be proceeding,” the statement said.
All tickets will be refunded to the original payment method with no action required by the customer.
No reason was given for the cancellation, though a number of shows at the beginning of the tour in 2024 were postponed after the singer suffered a neck injury during rehearsals.
Initially, the Australian leg was announced as eight shows, but strong early demand led to the addition of another four. Usher has not toured Australia since 2011.
Highlights from the U.S. leg of the tour included three sold-out nights at Atlanta’s State Farm Arena, grossing $7,261,802 on 43,104 tickets, according to Pollstar Boxoffice reports. Those shows from Dec. 9 to 12 were among the aforementioned postponed dates.
Usher’s agent is WME’s John Mark. He’s managed by Ron Laffitte at Laffitte Management Group.
