150,000 Tickets Sold For Xavier Naidoo Live Comeback In GSA

What began as a one-off concert announcement by one of Germany’s most successful artists, Xavier Naidoo, has expanded into a 13-date German arena run that’s already sold more than 150,000 tickets.
The initial July 6 announcement by promoter Live Nation GSA said, Xavier Naidoo would make his live comeback at Cologne’s Lanxess Arena with an exclusive one-off concert, Dec. 16, 2025 – six year after his last live performance.
A second date at Lanxess Arena was added on July 7, followed by seven more arenas that got added over the span of a week, expanding the tour’s radius to include Austria and Switzerland.
He last performed at Lanxess Arena Dec. 10, 2019, selling 16,022 tickets at a $1,027,355 gross, according to the boxoffice report for that show submitted to Pollstar.
Just like in Cologne, several of those shows got a second night added after demand for the German pop and soul icon’s return to the live stage exceeded the promoters’ expectations. As of July 17, Xavier Naidoo will perform 13 dates across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Full itinerary below.
The tour is called “Bei Meiner Seele,” which loosely translates as “Upon My Soul”, and Xavier Naidoo will perform alongside his live band. The tour kicks off with the two December dates at Cologne’s Lanxess Arena, and continues in January, closing in Naidoo’s hometown, Mannheim, with two concerts at SAP Arena.
Naidoo’s 2019 tour included several of the venues he’s going to visit on the upcoming GSA run, for instance Barclaycard Arena Hamburg, where he sold 13,687 tickets, grossing $894,692, Dec. 6, 2019; or Hallenstadion Zurich in Switzerland, Nov. 27, 2019, where he moved 12,483 tickets at a $893,606 gross, according to Pollstar Boxoffice.
Xavier Naidoo revolutionized what German r&b and soul music could sound like, thanks to his unique voice and genre mix. Chart hits include “Ich kenne nichts (das so schön ist wie du),” “Dieser Weg,” “Alles kann besser werden,” and “Was wir allein nicht schaffen” – songs that can be considered classics, and have had a lasting impact on the German music scene, and are still among the most streamed songs. “Dieser Weg,” for instance, became the unofficial anthem of the FIFA World Cup 2006 in Germany.
