The promoters of Tomorrowland have updated fans that the festival will go ahead on the original dates, July 18-20 (weekend one) and July 25-27 (weekend two).

It’s news that cannot be taken for granted after the mega-event’s main stage – called Orbyz in 2025 – burned down July 16, a mere two days ahead of the event’s official start, and not even 24-hours before the first guests were expected on Tomorrowland’s campsite in the Belgian town of Boom.

“At [10 a.m.] this morning, doors to DreamVille (campsite) have opened to welcome all DreamVille visitors,” the latest update from promoters stated today, July 17.

All activities as part of Tomorrowland’s Global Journey travel packages in Brussels and Antwerp will also take place, the statement continues.

Then, it gets emotional: “It’s impossible to put into words what we’re feeling.

“The Orbyz Mainstage of Tomorrowland Belgium 2025, a creation born from pure passion, imagination, and dedication, is no more.

“This wasn’t just a stage. It was a living, breathing world. From the very first sketch on a blank page, to countless hours of conceptual design, artistic collaboration, engineering, crafting, building, every single piece of Orbyz carried part of our soul.”

As Tomorrowland’s spokeswoman Debby Wilmsen told journalists on site in a press conference, it took years to build the main stage, a labor of love in the truest sense.

A Look Inside Tomorrowland: ‘It’s Beyond a Festival’

The official description of Orbyz on Tomorrowland’s website reads, “set in a magical universe made entirely out of ice, Orbyz will reveal a hidden community that has been existing under a gigantic ice cap for many years. Once the mass of ice and glaciers starts melting, the indigenous community rises to the surface, consisting of a unique source of light, energy, and power that originates from powerful, red-colored crystals and rocks.”

At press time it remained unclear what had caused the fire to ignite, and whether the vast amounts of pyro utilized by Tomorrowland’s incredible production had anything to do with it.

“No other parts of the festival, venue, stages or areas were impacted,” the update from promoters reads. It also states, “we hold on to the magic Orbyz gave us. To the dreams it carried. To the team who gave their all. We spent the night working on possible solutions for the Mainstage area (…). All detailed info about the festival weekend (Friday – Saturday – Sunday) will follow in the upcoming hours.”
