BABYMETAL To Play Special One-Night-Only Underplay At LA’s Regent Theater

BABYMETAL will play an intimate show at a small venue in Los Angeles next week, the Japanese band announced. The trio is taking time from its current amphitheater and arena tour to do a surprise underplay at The Regent Theater in downtown L.A. on July 24.
Live Nation is promoting the one-night-only event titled “An Evening with BABYMETAL” and giving fans a rare opportunity to see such an act in a 1,000-capacity theater. The Regent is the smallest venue BABYMETAL will play in the U.S. this decade, according to a release, and the announcement of the show comes just before the band releases their new album, METAL FORTH, which drops Aug. 8 via Capitol Records and features collaborations with Tom Morello, Poppy, Spiritbox and more.
A limited number of tickets will be available during the general onsale, which starts today at 1 p.m. PT at LiveNation.com. Fans who manage to purchase tickets must pick them up at The Regent Theater box office on the day of the show using a valid photo ID. Tickets are non-transferable and cannot be resold.
BABYMETAL’s underplay in L.A. will be the band’s final summer show in the U.S. before they embark on the Asian leg of their tour. They return to the States on Nov. 1 for a special arena concert in the L.A. area at Inglewood’s Intuit Dome, home of the NBA’s Los Angeles Clippers. They will follow that up with a night at Arena CDMX in Mexico City on Nov. 7.
It’s been a busy year for BABYMETAL, who have performed at numerous rock festivals, including Knotfest, and headlined shows across the globe. The Japanese stars performed a sold-out show at New York City’s Theater at Madison Square Garden on June 24 and grossed $334,694 off 4,619 tickets sold, according to Pollstar Boxoffice.
BABYMETAL is booked worldwide by United Talent Agency’s Ross Warnock and managed by 5B Artist Management.
