Madi Diaz Announces New Album & Fall Tour

Madi Diaz has announced details for her new album, Fatal Optimist, with the lead single out now, as well as a fall North American tour that’s booked in October and November.
“Welcome to fatal optimism. This one feels different. And I can’t wait to let you in,” the indie rock/folk singer posted on Facebook.
Fatal Optimist is due out Oct. 10 via ANTI. An announcement from Diaz’s PR team says “Fatal Optimist could be considered the final chapter in her heartache trilogy, and the rawest entry. This is the Madi Diaz album most likely to haunt you with its starkness.”
Diaz says: “Fatal Optimism is the innate hope for something magical. It’s the weird faith that kicks in while knowing that there is just plain risk that comes with wanting someone or something. It’s when you have no control over the outcome, but still choose to experience every moment that happens, and put your whole heart in it.”
The lead single is “Feel Something,” with a video out now to go along with it.
“‘Feel Something’ is about the deep yearning and desire to connect. It’s the moment when you’re trying to call in the love that was lost. It’s the first single off the album because it has the sense of urgency and panic that I felt at that first moment I noticed I was alone in my relationship.”
The new fall tour dates follow a handful of festival appearances, a support date with Caamp at Radio City Music Hall and appearances as part of “The September Shows.” The run starts Oct. 11 at The Basement East in Nashville. Check out the routing below.
Fans can sign up now to get a presale password ahead of the general onsale that begins on Friday, July 25.
Diaz is managed by Little Operation Management’s Christian Stavros. Her tour dates are booked by Wasserman Music’s Keith Levy, Adele Slater and Clementine Bunel.
Reports submitted to Pollstar Boxoffice for Diaz include a Feb. 27, 2024, show at The Atlantis in Washington, D.C., that sold 440 tickets and grossed $11,000. Check out Diaz’s 2025 routing below.
