Sterm Management, a company founded in 2020 during the pandemic, announced it is expanding to the United Kingdom with the hiring of London-based manager Andrew Mishko. The company also added day-to-day manager Jill Irvine to its team.

Mishko is a London-based manager who previously worked at Bad Habit while serving as label manager of A.G. Cook-founded PC Music Imprint, a role that will continue along with his new duties at Stern. He broke into the business as a stagehand at 16 before taking on a stage and production manager role at Goldenvoice venues and festivals. He then worked as a tour manager, audio engineer and backline tech.

Six years into his international touring career working with artists like M83, Ryan Bingham and Alesso, Mishko transitioned into the role of manager for his tour managing client The Drums. Since then, his diverse roster has grown to include talent such as EKKSTACY, Witch Post, Alaska Reid, Nick Waterhouse, Brevin Kim, Cornelia Murr and producers Mangetsu and Jacob Munk.

“I’ve known Nick Stern for 10 years, and I’m thrilled that we’ve finally found a way to work together,” Mishko said in a statement. “Our perspective on this challenging industry is very aligned, and I’ve always respected what he does, particularly the time he puts into supporting his artists and the long-lasting partnerships he has with them. I’m excited to team up with him, Marisa, and the rest of the Stern crew to help artists find their way through the chaos.”

Mishko began working as a stagehand at age 16 before transitioning to stage and production manager duties at local Goldenvoice venues and festivals. He later toured as a tour manager, audio engineer and backline tech. Six years into his international touring career alongside artists such as M83, Ryan Bingham, and Alesso, Mishko stepped into the role of manager for his longtime tour managing client The Drums, and has since found himself managing a diverse and talented roster of artists including EKKSTACY, Witch Post, Alaska Reid, Nick Waterhouse, Brevin Kim, Cornelia Murr, and producers Mangetsu and Jacob Munk. Mishko has successfully brokered partnerships with brands such as Bershka, Monster Energy, and Fender, and coordinated cross-genre collaborations for his indie clients with artists such as The Kid LAROI, SuperDuperKyle, Smino, Monte Booker, Trippie Redd, and lann Dior.

“Andrew is, first and foremost, a music lover with impeccable taste,” Founder Nick Stern said. “I love his roster and his dedication to developing career artists. As Stern Management grows, having a U.K. presence has become essential, and Andrew’s groundwork in the market will prove invaluable to the company and our roster. Beyond our friendship, I’m excited for the energy that Andrew and Jill will bring to the company, and look forward to diving in.”

Irvine is based in Colorado and has worked with Grammy-winning talent. She started in the music industry at Larimer Lounge in Denver before working at Saddle Creek Records and Paradigm Talent Agency. She co-manages Martha Skye Murphy along with Mishko.

Both hires bring with them clients to expand Stern Management’s roster, which includes Djo, Finn Wolfhard, Metric, The Black Angels, Ben Abraham, Phosphorescent, Karina Rykman, Durry and Ill Peach.

It’s been a big year for Stern management. Djo, the musical project of artist, producer, songwriter and actor Joe Keery, recently hit No. 1 on U.S. alternative radio charts with the hit song “Basic Being Basic” before he takes the main stage to perform at Lollapalooza in Chicago on Aug. 1. Djo recently surpassed 2.5 billion streams across his catalogue, and his viral hit “End of the Beginning” has gone three times platinum. In addition to Djo’s success, Finn Wolfhard released his solo debut album, Happy Birthday, and staged a sold-out tour.
