Entrepreneur Mike Repole Joins United Football League Ownership Group

The United Football League (UFL) announced that entrepreneur and brand builder Mike Repole will be joining the league’s ownership group. Repole will become part of a high-profile coalition that includes RedBird Capital Partners, FOX, ESPN, Dany Garcia and Dwayne Johnson.

As an owner, Repole through his private equity firm Impact Capital will lead the league’s business operations. With a track record of innovation and brand building, Repole will help shape the UFL’s next phase of growth.

“The UFL is thrilled to welcome a visionary like Mike Repole to our ownership group,” states Russ Brandon UFL President & CEO in a release. “Mike’s entrepreneurial accomplishments are extraordinary, and his dynamic leadership will immediately elevate the league’s business and brand trajectory.”

Repole is best known for co-founding Vitaminwater, Smartwater and BODYARMOR, which collectively sold to The Coca-Cola Company for more than $12 billion. He is currently the majority owner of NOBULL, the high-performance footwear and apparel company backed by Tom Brady; the owner of snack brand JUNKLESS; and founder of Repole Stable, a top horse racing stable that is home to multiple Breeders’ Cup and Belmont Stakes winners.

The UFL was created by the 2024 merger of the XFL and USFL. The league features eight teams split between two conferences playing a 10-week regular season followed by conference championship games. UFL venues include Choctaw Stadium, Arlington, Texas (Arlington Renegades); Protective Stadium, Birmingham, Alabama (Birmingham Stallions); Audi Field, Washington, D.C. (DC Defenders); TDECU Stadium (University of Houston) Houston, Texas (Houston Roughnecks); Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium, Memphis. Tennessee (Memphis Showboats); Ford Field, Detroit, Michigan (Michigan Panthers); The Alamodome, San Antonio, Texas (San Antonio Brahmas); and The Dome at America’s Center, St. Louis, Missouri (St. Louis Battlehawks).
