Influential post-hardcore band The Jesus Lizard have canceled their remaining 2025 tour dates in the wake of a bandmember’s “serious health incident.”

The tour, in support of the album Rack, was scheduled for clubs and theaters in the U.S., Japan, Australia and New Zealand. The band intends to reschedule the dates but with an uncertain timeline, refunds are being issued at the point of purchase.

“Upon the advice of medical professionals following a serious health incident affecting one of the band members, it is considered necessary as a precautionary measure,” a statement posted to the band’s social media sites reads. “The band would like to convey their apologies to disappointed fans and emphasize that the affected member’s prognosis is excellent. Your understanding and support are very much appreciated as always.”

Rack is the band’s first album since 1998. The band broke up in 2000, reformed for a tour in 2008 and then again in 2017. In May, the band played two nights at The Neptune in Seattle, grossing $68,940 on a combined 1,531 tickets, according to Pollstar Boxoffice reports.

The Jesus Lizard is repped by David Viecelli at The Billions Corporation.
