New York Comedy Festival Adds Over 100 Shows, Including Matteo Lane, Maddy Smith & Hannibal Buress

The New York Comedy Festival unveiled more than 100 additional shows to its already stacked 2025 lineup, with acts such as Matteo Lane and Nick Smith, Maddy Smith, Hannibal Buress, Erica Rhodes, Chris Gethard and many more.

The 21st edition of the festival takes place Nov. 7-16 at various venues throughout New York. Matteo Lane and Nick Smith will bring their I Never Liked You show to Arlo on Nov. 14, Buress will perform with some of his friends at Isola Brooklyn on Nov. 16, Erica Rhodes will be at UCB on the 16th, Maddy Smith is at New York Comedy Club Upper West Side on the 12th, Chris Gethard’s That Show will be at UCB on the 12th, RIGHT NOW with John Goblikon will be at The Bell House on Nov. 7 and Jay McBride Does A Half Hour will take place at Tiny on Nov. 14. The Venue at Hard Rock Hotel New York will host multiple shows, including Genius and Poison Presents: The Magicians of Magic (Nov. 9 and 10), New York’s Funniest Stand-Ups presented by Threads (Nov. 12) and Comics To Watch (Nov. 12 and 14).

Our continued mission is to uplift and celebrate the dynamic New York comedy community—bringing together rising stars and iconic performers in the city’s most storied venues that reflect the incredibly rich diversity and boundless energy of this city.”

Previously announced headlining acts included The Basement Yard, Hannah Berner, Michael Blackson, Louis C.K., Strangers with Candy with Stephen Colbert, Paul Dinello and Amy Sedaris, Pete Holmes, Margaret Cho, Trevor Wallace, Chris Fleming and many more.

The New York Comedy Festival launched in 2004 and has become a premier event in the comedy world. The inaugural festival, founded by Hirsch and produced by Carolines, featured a dozen stand-up shows over five days, and it has grown to produce more than 100 shows annually over 10 days.
