The Latin Recording Academy Announces This Year’s Leading Ladies Of Entertainment Honorees

The Latin Recording Academy unveiled this year’s Leading Ladies of Entertainment honorees, a program that celebrates socially conscious women in the Latin music industry who have made significant contributions and inspired many.
The four women being honored are Sony Music exec Maricarmen “Tuti” Bou, artist manager Amarilys Germán, agency executive Paula Kaminsky and singer-songwriter Rozalén. Honorees will be celebrated at a private event during Latin Grammy Week in Las Vegas.
“I am proud to present our Leading Ladies of Entertainment honorees, an exceptional group of women who have distinguished themselves not just through their successful careers but also through their work outside of the professional realm,” Manuel Abud, CEO of The Latin Recording Academy, said in a statement. “Our past honorees have helped grow our Mentorship Program, and we look forward to having this year’s class continue that legacy and empower future generations of young women.”
Bou began her career in 1988 at CBS records, which eventually became Sony Music, and became a publicist at the label, helping launch of Latin stars like Shakira, Chayanne, Elvis Crespo and Ricky Martin. She currently serves as vice president of Sony Music Entertainment in Puerto Rico and has committed to philanthropic causes, working with organizations like SER, Fundación CAP and True Self Foundation, which supports the LGBTQ+ community in Puerto Rico.
Germán is an entertainment executive and manager to Latin Grammy winner Juan Luis Guerra. She was trained in tourism and public relations and began working with local groups and figures, including Kinito Méndez. Her skills in production and management led to work on international events with iconic artists such as Mexican band Maná, Shakira and Ricky Martin. In 1998, she began managing Guerra’s career and has helped young talent like Vicente García grow.
Kaminsky, managing director at Global Talent Services US, is an exec with more than two decades of experience in entertainment and marketing, specializing in talent management. She has helped develop artists like Ela Taubert, who won the 2024 Latin Grammy for Best New Artist, and Joaquina, who won the same award in 2023. She also works with rising talent like Roa, Andry Kiddos and Kobi Cantillo.
Rozalén is an influential Latin Grammy-nominated artist who has won numerous awards in Spain. She is a psychologist with a master’s degree in music therapy, and her music touches on themes like gender equality, inclusion, mental health, historical memory and social justice. She has collaborated with artists like Carlos Vives, Mon Laferte, Jorge Drexler, Kany García and Joaquín Sabina. Rozalén has also worked with organizations like Entreculturas, Plan International, Save the Children and Médicos Sin Fronteras.
“We are thrilled to continue our support of The Latin Recording Academy’s Leading Ladies of Entertainment for a second year. These exceptional women exemplify the leadership, innovation and dedication that are driving the Latin music industry forward,” said Rocío Guerrero, director of music, Latin-Iberia at Amazon Music. “Through this initiative and our contribution to the Latin GRAMMY Cultural Foundation’s Scholarship Fund, we’re committed to supporting and amplifying the voices of future generations of female leaders in Latin music. The impact these honorees have made both professionally and through their community work perfectly aligns with the mission at Amazon Music to elevate and celebrate Latin talent.”
The four women, along with past honorees, are invited to become mentors in the Latin Grammy Cultural Foundation’s Leading Ladies of Entertainment Mentorship Program, which aims to forge opportunities and foster future generations of women in the industry.
