Mavis Staples Expands Tour Dates To 2026

Mavis Staples announced the release of her 14th studio album, Sad And Beautiful World, and added new tour dates to 2026. She’ll perform at the Chicago Theatre in Chicago on Jan. 10, Ryman Auditorium in Nashville on Jan. 24 and New York City’s Beacon Theatre with support from Allison Russell on Feb. 28.

Now aged 86, Staples has been performing live since she was only eight years old, and remains the lone surviving member of the Staple Singers group that included sisters Cleotha and Yvonne and brother Pervis, started by her father, Roebuck “Pops” Staples. Her lifetime achievements include inductions into the blues, rock and gospel halls of fame, a Kennedy Center Honoree, multiple GRAMMYs, including a Lifetime Achievement Award.

She’s booked by Mint Talent Group’s Michael Morris in North America. With 101 headline reports submitted to Pollstar’s Boxoffice, Staples has sold 73,318 tickets, grossing $3.5 million.
