Slayer Heads To Hersheypark In September

Slayer will play its only East Coast show this year at 30,000-seat Hersheypark Stadium in Hershey, Pennsylvania, Sept. 20.
Hosted by WWE talent Damien Priest — whose finishing move is known as “South of Heaven” in honor of Slayer’s seminal 1986 album and its title track — will MC the event, which also features Knocked Loose, Suicidal Tendencies, Power Trip, Cavalera and Exodus.
Tickets are on sale now here.
“It’s going to be great for the fans,” Kerry King said. “Not having toured in a number of years, there might be some people at this show who have never seen Slayer before, or in some time. So, for the Hershey concert, we’ll play a Slayer show, we’ll have all of our big fire effects, just burn everything like we used to – a real Slayer show. This will be the first time Slayer has played with Power Trip or Knocked Loose, but I am well aware of them from word of mouth and hearing their music on Liquid Metal. I’m looking forward to seeing them live.”
Slayer’s only other U.S. appearance this year is at Louder than Life in Louisville Sept. 18. Earlier this year band appeared at Festival d’été de Québec and the Back to the Beginning concert at Villa Park in Birmingham in honor of Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne. The band also played headline shows in London and Cardiff.
Slayer has 358 headline reports in the Pollstar Boxoffice database with a total gross of more than $89.5 million on more than 1.7 million tickets.
Slayer is repped by Pinnacle Entertainment’s Scott Sokol in North America and K2 Agency elsewhere. The band is managed by The Rick Sales Entertainment Group.
