Saul Williams, Carlos Niño Drop Collaborative Album Before Embarking On Global Tour

Poet, vocalist and actor Saul Williams teamed up with Carlos Niño, a percussionist and producer, and released their first collaborative album today in anticipation of their upcoming global tour.
The artists are teaming up to perform in intimate venues from September through November. Williams and Nño kick off their trek Sept. 27 at the Walk The Block Festival in Seattle, followed by two-night stands at Yoshi’s in Oakland, TreePeople in Los Angeles and Atlanta’s City Winery. The routing includes shows at Washington, D.C.’s Black Cat, Sultan Room in Brooklyn and Säälchen in Berlin, Germany. They will conclude their run with sets at Pitchfork Festival in London and Le Guess Who? Festival in Utrecht, Netherlands.
Tickets are now on sale and available here.
The duo’s first album was recorded live underneath black walnut and oak trees in L.A. They have been friends for over two decades, and the performance was organized by Noah Klein of Living Earth on the grounds of TreePeople, an L.A. nonprofit that promotes environmental literacy and provides actionable solutions to the climate crisis.
Williams recently performed two shows at Blue Note New York, and Niño played at the Big Ears Festival in Knoxville, Tennessee, in March.
Big Fish Booking Company’s Chris Weller and Ryan Anderson represent Williams worldwide, excluding Europe and Asia. Williams is managed by Aaron Johnson of Knitting Factory Management.
