Xfinity Mobile Arena Debuts As New Name For Home of Philadelphia 76ers, Flyers

Comcast has officially officially introduced Xfinity Mobile Arena, the new name of the home of the Philadelphia Flyers and Philadelphia 76ers, a partnership that includes a WiFi network upgrade that arena officials say is 10 times faster than before.
“Philadelphia is built on passion. Whether it’s the adrenaline of a 76ers or Flyers game, a concert, or a moment that moves you, people can share it instantly at Xfinity Mobile Arena,” said Matt Lederer, Vice President of Brand Partnerships & Engagement at Comcast. “Xfinity Mobile Arena’s new supercharged WiFi is a living showcase of our brand and the opportunity we have to power connections that bring our community together.”
Financial terms of the naming rights agreement were not disclosed.
Xfinity Mobile Arena is the first arena on the East Coast to leverage the newly introduced high-power WiFi, according to the announcement, engineered to reliably and securely support thousands of devices simultaneously.

As part of festivities announcing the new name for the venerable arena, several special events took place throughout the week. including a grand reveal officiated by mascots Gritty (Flyers) and Franklin (76ers), week-long Xfinity activations, a live broadcast of local radio program “Preston and Steve” from the arena’s rooftop and a celebration including former Philadelphia Eagles players Nick Foles and Fletcher Cox ahead of the team’s Sept. 4 season opener.
The official Xfinity Mobile partnership with the arena and parent company Comcast was to begin Sept. 1, 2025, with installation of new signage. The partnership will run through the 2030-2031 season and includes exterior branding, interior digital signage, inclusion in advertising, branded WiFi, hospitality and Official Partnerships with the Philadelphia Flyers and Philadelphia 76ers.
As previously announced, Comcast will own the naming rights to the arena being developed via a joint venture between HBSE and Comcast Spectacor, set to open in the 2031-2032 season, according to the announcement.
