Andrew Bird Expands ‘The Mysterious Production Of Eggs’ 20th Anniversary Tour Dates

Andrew Bird is celebrating the 20th anniversary of The Mysterious Production of Eggs alongside symphony orchestras, with a second round of dates announced for next spring. The new dates kick off on April 2 in Waterbury, Connecticut, with the Waterbury Symphony, and wrap up with two nights at North Bethesda, Maryland, with the StNational Philharmonic on June 2 and 3.

The dates feature performances alongside symphony orchestras for each show, as Andrew Bird will be teaming up with local musicians for the tour. The first leg of the trek begins on Sept. 10 in Atlanta with the Atlanta Symphony, and includes stops in Atlanta, Austin, Portland, Seattle and Denver. His 2025 dates wrap up with five nights in Chicago from Dec. 8 tp 12 at Fourth Presbyterian Church as part of Andrew Bird’s Gezelligheid.

Alongside the announcement, Andrew Bird is releasing a 20th anniversary box set for The Mysterious Production of Eggs, which will arrive both physically and digitally on Feb. 27 via Wegawam Music Co.

“Those years at the barn (2002-2005) were a creative bender,” Bird said in a statement. “Immersed in nature with few distractions there was time to indulge every impulse without much feedback (for better or worse) from my Chicago community. This isn’t working. Scrap it and don’t look back. Don’t look back, until now, of course. I’ve said I’m reluctant about exhuming this period as I’m writing and recording my 19th album as we speak. It has had its revelations and due to the exhaustive efforts, we dug up some really cool stuff from the cutting room floor. Anyway, looking back can be painful but in this case it’s worth it.”

Bird is managed by Team Spirit Management and booked by ROAM’s Erik Selz in the Americas. With 305 headline reports submitted to Pollstar’s boxoffice, Bird has sold 457,581 total tickets, grossing $17.9 million.
