Gov’t Mule, led by notable guitarist, singer/songwriter and producer Warren Haynes, has announced details for their annual “New Year’s Run” – the quartet’s yearly commitment to ringing in the new year with the Mule community since 2002.

This year’s three-night stand begins Dec. 28 at Proctors Theatre in Schenectady, New York and then returns to the famed Beacon Theatre in New York City, the longstanding home of Mule’s New Year’s shows, for back-to-back nights Dec. 30 and 31.

Artist presale and fan club tickets will be available Sept. 17 at 10:00 AM/ET with local promoter, venue and partner pre-sales starting Sept. 18 at 10:00 AM/ET. The general on-sale begins Sept. 19 at 10:00 AM/ET.

VIP packages include reserved seating, access to soundcheck, limited edition signed poster and more. The Ultimate Guitar Player package will also be available for the shows on Dec. 28 and 30 featuring one Warren Haynes Signature Les Paul Standard ‘60s Cherry Gibson Guitar (played and autographed by Warren), two premium reserved tickets and VIP priority entry, private post-show meet & greet and photo with Warren and more.

“This New Year’s Eve, we will be honoring the music of 1971, arguably the greatest year in rock music history,” shares Haynes in a release.

Celebrating the 30th anniversary of their self-titled debut album this year, Gov’t Mule is currently on their “Back In The Saddle Tour,” the band’s first big tour run since 2024. The first leg of the 29-date outing recently wrapped in Massachusetts and included five co-headlining shows with longtime friends Tedeschi Trucks Band. The second leg of the headlining tour will launch Oct. 10 in Bowling Green, Kentucky, before Gov’t Mule stops in Macon, Georgia, on Oct. 11 for the final co-headlining show with Tedeschi Trucks Band.

From there, the “Back In The Saddle Tour” will continue to travel throughout the East Coast and Midwest, stopping in Charleston, Fort Lauderdale, Raleigh, Virginia Beach, Charlottesville, Reading and New Haven.

Gov’t Mule will conclude the tour with Mule-O-Ween 2025, their annual Halloween tribute-themed shows. This year’s two-night celebration takes place Oct. 31st in Washington, DC and Nov. 1 in Philadelphia.

Following the New Year’s Run, Gov’t Mule heads back to Jamaica for Island Exodus 16, their annual “concert-cation” from Jan. 15-18, 2026 at a new location, the Hideaway at Royalton Blue Waters Montego Bay in Trelawny, Jamaica.

Gov’t Mule includes Haynes, Matt Abts (drums), Danny Louis (keyboards, guitar and backing vocals) and Kevin Scott (bass). The band released their latest studio album Peace…Like A River on Fantasy Records in 2023.

On Sept. 12, Haynes released his new album, The Whisper Sessions, a nine–song, digital-only collection of stripped-down versions of songs off Million Voices Whisper including the singles “These Changes” featuring Derek Truck, “You Ain’t Above Me” and “From Here On Out.” The project also includes a version of the Allman Brothers Band classic “Melissa” with Trucks.
