Sarah McLachlan Announces ‘Better Broken Tour’

Ahead of tomorrow’s release of her new album, Sarah McLachlan has announced dates for the “Better Broken Tour.” The U.S. tour features nine performances booked from the East Coast to the West.
Better Broken, due out Sept. 19 via Concord Records, is her first studio album of original material in more than 10 years – marking the follow-up to 2014’s Shine On. In between, she released her second Christmas album, Wonderland.
An announcement from her team notes that “Better Broken takes its title from its opening track – a soul-searching reflection on the fortitude that comes from weathering life’s constant storms – and furthers her legacy with a selection of songs that speak an uncompromising but radically illuminating truth about the state of the human condition.”
McLachlan worked with producers Tony Berg (Phoebe Bridgers, boygenius) and Will Maclellan (Lucy Dacus, Phoebe Bridgers) on the album, which features contributions from Wendy Melvoin (a former guitarist for Prince and the Revolution), drummer Matt Chamberlain (Bob Dylan, David Bowie), multi-instrumentalist Benny Bock (Lucy Dacus, beabadoobee), and pedal-steel guitarist Greg Leisz (Kacey Musgraves, Florence + the Machine).
The “Better Broken Tour,” produced by Live Nation, starts Nov. 16 at Washington, D.C.’s The Anthem. Stops on the routing include Philadelphia, New York, Boston, Chicago, Minneapolis, Seattle, San Francisco and Los Angeles.
Presales start on Tuesday, September 23 at 10 a.m. local time including an artist presale, Citi cardmember presale and Verizon customer presale. The general onsale begins Friday, Sept. 26 at 10 a.m. local time, for more information visit www.sarahmclachlan.com.
