UTA Signs Shane McAnally

UTA has signed singer and songwriter Shane McAnally with the agency representing the Grammy award-winning singer/songwriter and actor globally in all areas. Today’s announcement notes that UTA will help build his business portfolio across television, theatre, and live touring.
McAnally has written and produced over 50 No.1 songs, including penning hits for Sam Hunt, Kenny Chesney, Kacey Musgraves, Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert, Keith Urban, Old Dominion and Kelsea Ballerini.
His career highlights include founding publishing and management powerhouse SMACKSongs in 2012, with the company’s roster of writers contributing to nearly 80 Top 10 country radio hits. As for his acting milestones, McAnally starred on NBC’s hit series “Songland” and he co-wrote the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical “Shucked” with collaborator Brandy Clark.
McAnally’s accolades include four Grammy awards, two ACM Songwriter of the Year awards, as well as Billboard’s Trailblazer Award for his impact in country music and the LGBTQ+ community. Plus, “Shucked” earned nine Tony Award nominations and a Grammy nomination for Best Musical Theater Album in its debut season.
McAnally continues to be managed by Robert Carlton, Makayla Symmonds, and Marissa Turk Loar from SMACKSongs.
