Lola Young Cancels All Tour Dates ‘For The Foreseeable Future’

Lola Young has now called off all upcoming tour dates, with a statement on Instagram saying she has to “cancel everything for the foreseeable future.” The news comes after the 24-year-old British singer had nixed two shows and collapsed onstage during her performance at All Things Go Festival in Forest Hills Stadium in Queens, New York, last weekend.
“I’m going away for a while. It pains me to say I have to cancel everything for the foreseeable future,” Young posted on Instagram Sept. 30. “Thank you for all the love and support. I’m so sorry to let anyone down who has bought a ticket to see me, it hurts me more than you know. Obviously you will be entitled to a full refund.
“I really hope you’ll give me a second chance once I’ve had some time to work on myself and come back stronger. Love you all, Lola x.”
Young’s next scheduled tour dates were two shows at O2 Victoria Warehouse in Manchester, U.K., Oct. 6-7. She was supposed to head to North America in November for a run of dates that included shows at New York’s Terminal 5, Nashville’s The Pinnacle, Denver’s Fillmore Auditorium and Los Angeles’ Hollywood Palladium. Young had 2026 dates scheduled from March through June including appearances at Lollapalooza Argentina and Brazil, as well as gigs throughout Europe.
As previously reported, Young had initially announced that she was canceling her Sept. 28 appearance at the Washington, D.C., edition of All Things Go, held at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland. In a post shared on her Instagram story she wrote, “I love this job and I never take my commitments and audience for granted so I’m sorry to those who will be disappointed by this. I hope you’ll all give me another chance in the future. Thank you to all those who listen and care. To all the people that love to be mean online, pls give me a day off.”
She had also canceled her appearance at Audacy’s We Can Survive concert on Sept. 26, the night before she fainted. Her manager, Nick Shymansky, shared that Young wouldn’t be able to perform due to a “sensitive matter.”
“There are [occasionally] days where myself and my team have to take protective measures to keep her safe,” Shymansky wrote on social media. “She is an incredible person and always takes her fans, career and performances seriously. I can only send huge apologies for the inconvenience caused.”
Young has been candid about her struggles with mental health and addiction.
In 2022 she opened up about how she had been diagnosed with a rare mental health disorder called schizoaffective disorder a few years earlier, explaining in a post on Instagram that while the condition doesn’t define her, she also views it as a superpower.
“I think the industry is getting better at accepting that with artists and creativity comes mental health issues,” Young told Pollstar earlier this year. “Don’t let anyone make you feel that mental health issues mean you can’t deliver. And don’t let anyone sideline you for it. I’m proof that you can suffer, write about it and still make it work out for you.”
Last month The Guardian posted a story on Young in which she discussed checking into a rehab for a cocaine addiction while her hit song “Messy” climbed the charts.“It’s been a struggle – I’ve definitely had to work on some internal healing while grappling with touring and stuff,” Young told The Guardian. “I’ve had to be away for a bit while battling with things. But it teaches you a lot, being addicted to substances. It makes you more empathetic about other people that have gone through that. It’s just a constant journey.”
Young is booked by WME’s Alex Bramwell, Lucy Dickins and Kirk Sommer worldwide. Her previously booked tour schedule is listed below.
