Shane Shuhart Joins Outback Presents As SVP Booking

Independent promoter Outback Presents has brought on live entertainment veteran Shane Shuhart as Senior Vice President of Booking, where he will work closely with Outback founder and Co-CEO Mike Smardak, President Andrew Farwell and the rest of the Outback booking team with a focus on arenas and theatres.

“We are proud to welcome Shane as our new Senior Vice President of Booking,” Smardak said in the announcement. “He brings a wealth of industry experience and a passion to the role during an exciting time of growth for Outback Presents. We couldn’t be more thrilled to have him on board.”

Shuhart most recently served as director of booking for Nederlander Concerts, bringing shows to venues like the Grove of Anaheim, Greek Theatre, Hollywood Pantages and others. During the pandemic he was instrumental in producing drive-in concerts outside the Grove, and heavily involved in the sold-out Swanfest and Punk in Drublic festivals, among other successful events.

“I’ve long admired what Mike and the Outback team have been able to build, especially in such a competitive national touring landscape,” Shuhart says in the announcement. “Their vision and commitment have set a high bar in the industry, and I’m excited to be a part of what comes next.”

Shuhart’s previous experience includes stints at Live Nation and its Philadelphia office and as an agent at APA.
