HYBE Launches HYBE Label Service To Bolster Global Strategy, Appoints Ryan Noh As Chief Business Officer

HYBE America announced the launch of a new global organization called HYBE Label Service (HSL) that aims to develop artists in international markets by providing enhanced support in distribution, manufacturing, marketing and promotion services.

The entertainment company promoted Ryan Hyeong Woo Noh to lead the newly announced organization as chief business officer of HYBE America. Noh, who previously served as chief strategy officer, and will also oversee key business operations in the region. He is based in Los Angeles and will report directly to HYBE CEO Jason Jaesang Lee and HYBE AMERICA CEO and Chairman Isaac Lee.

According to HYBE, HSL is an “integrated, single support center for all HYBE labels and their artists, streamlining essential services for all of the company’s labels and artists, “streamlining essential services for maximized global reach.” HLS consists of two divisions, global distribution and global marketing and promotion, and HYBE hired two executives to lead each one and report directly to Noh.

Mike Rittberg was appointed as president of global distribution and will oversee the strategic distribution of HYBE’s catalog and new releases globally with efficiency and focus on market penetration. He previously served as COO of Big Machine Label Group, a subsidiary of HYBE America, and oversaw marketing, streaming and all release initiatives. He also worked at Bill Silva Management, Verve Label Group, Reprise Records and Warner Bros. Records.

Mark Flaherty joins HYBE as president of global marketing and promotion and will lead the company’s strategies to maximize artist exposure and fan engagement across international markets. Flaherty is co-owner of Fantastical Music & Marketing and expanded the international profile of Southeast Asian talent, including Bini. He also held leadership roles at Warner Records, Interscope Records, 88 Rising and Sony Music.

HYBE said it plans to expand HLS to cover more regions, expanding its reach as a company as well as the reach of its artists.

Ritteberg added that he was “honored” to join HYBE America and thankful to Noh for the opportunity.

Flaherty also released a statement about joining HYBE, saying, “I’m excited and grateful for the opportunity to work alongside the entire HYBE team, helping to stretch the boundaries of what a global music company can be.”
