Aftershock Festival Draws Record-Breaking Attendance With Over 164K, Boosting Sacramento Economy

This year’s Aftershock was another major milestone for promoter Danny Wimmer Presents, which announced that the major rock festival drew a record-breaking crowd of over 164,000 fans, the largest in the event’s history.
Fans from all 50 states and more than 30 countries made the trek to Sacramento’s Discovery Park and boosted the local economy, generating an estimated $35 million in local economic impact.
The four-day rock festival featured 115 bands and memorable moments, including a special West Coast exclusive set from Good Charlotte, who were joined by Sum 41’s Deryck Whibley to perform “Fat Lip” and “In Too Deep,” and blink-182 performing their nostalgic punk anthems.
And that was just on Thursday. On Friday, Deftones delivered a special hometown show, and The Dillinger Escape Plan played a special West Coast reunion show. Korn headlined Saturday and paid tribute to rock legend Ozzy Osbourne, and Bring Me The Horizon closed out the festival on Sunday with a high-tech, sci-fi set.
Danny Wimmer Presents presented new experiences at this year’s Aftershock, including the Capitol Club, which is an all-inclusive premium oasis, and Tremors Dive Bar, a high-energy area that featured a pop-up set by DJ Rock Feed and surprise guests My Darkest Days.
Sacramento Mayor Kevin McCarty, Senator Angelique Ashby and Assemblymember Maggy Krell honored Danny Wimmer Presents for the company’s cultural and economic contributions to the region by presenting them with official recognitions.
Aftershock 2026 dates will be announced soon, and early bird tickets will also be available so fans can lock in lower level pricing. Visit AfterschockFestival.com for more information.
