Matt Pryor & The Salton Sea Announce 2026 Tour Dates

Matt Pryor announced tour dates in North America and the UK throughout 2026 in support of his new solo album, The Salton Sea. The trek begins on Jan. 22 at Club Dada in Dallas with stops in Houston, Tampa, Nashville, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle, Denver, Boston, New York City, Bristol, London, Glasgow and more before wrapping in Cambridge on May 8.

The Salton Sea will be released on Nov. 14 via Nightshoes Syndicate/Big Scary Monsters, with two singles, including the title-track and “The Dishonesty” now available. The album name refers to the Salton Sea in Southern California, a desert oasis that is now a wasteland due to high salinity, evaporation and pollution in the local lake. Pryor’s album reflects on his own struggles with addiction, and how he felt a connection to the abandoned resort town.

“The story that these songs tell is about that time in my life,” Pryor says. “Autumn rolling into spring because the winter was a blackout. How the good times were great until one day they weren’t. How I lost myself and hurt people that I care about. How I got help that didn’t stick and how I lost faith in the help that did. That I came out on the other side of the whole ordeal only to realize I am still a work in progress, that we all are.”

The upcoming tour features 50 dates, with highlights including performances at Los Angeles’ Permanent Records and New York City’s Mercury Lounge. Small Uncle will be joining on the tour as support.

With 28 headline reports submitted to Pollstar’s Boxoffice, Pryor has averaged 155 tickets per show with a gross of $2,062. With his band The Get Up Kids, 166 headline reports have been submitted to Pollstar’s Boxoffice, with an average ticket sale of 805, grossing $13,928 per show.
