Subtronics Announces ‘Fibonacci’ North American Tour

Supporting the release of his two-part album, Fibonacci, on Dec. 5 via his label Cyclops Recordings, Subtronics announced the “Fibonacci Tour” across North America, marking the bass music producer and DJ’s first full-scale headline run in two years. The 16-date run kicks off at Rebel in Toronto on Jan. 23, with stops in Washington, D.C.; Brooklyn, New York; Philadelphia, Austin and more before wrapping up at MGM Music Hall in Boston on March 20.
Subtronics’ upcoming headline run follows the announcement of his headline show at Sphere in Las Vegas as part of the Tomorrowland and Insomniac collaboration, UNITY, which takes place this weekend on Oct. 18. The artist is also slated to headline two dates at the 6,000-cap Gallagher Square in San Diego on Nov. 14 and 15 and six sold-out shows at the 6,300-cap Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles from Dec. 2 to 7. Subtronics will also perform both Coachella weekends on April 12 and 19.
Subtronics first announced part one of the album after his mainstage set at Ultra Music Festival back in March.
“My album Fibonacci is representative of everything in life, an all-encompassing code to the world, which is what the Fibonacci sequence actually is in science and nature,” Subtronics said in a statement. “When I write music, it takes me on journeys through emotions and different worlds I’m trying to build, with my own code/sound. I feel so much through the process and want to bring that same experience to listeners. The album is my personal journal from the past two years, a range of emotions and experiences, a range of worlds and realities in song-form. A lot of the tracks are very different from anything I’ve released before, and I’m excited to showcase 15 years of progress with it.”
Support acts on the newly announced dates include Habstrakt, Juelz, TroyBoi, Whethan, Rusko, Seth David and more.
Subtronics is managed by Red Light Management’s Eric Silver and Elyse Young, with Brandon Garber rounding out the team as day-to-day. Wasserman Music’s Jake Bernstein books Subtronics in North and South America, Asia and Australia. Wasserman Music’s Nick Matthews and Louis Cawthorne book Subtronics in Europe. With 99 headline reports submitted to Pollstar’s Boxoffice, Subtronics has sold a total of 376,470 tickets, grossing $20.6 million. On average, Subtronics moves 3,803 tickets, grossing $209,039 per show.
Tickets for the upcoming tour go on sale Oct. 23 at 10 a.m. local time. Fans can sign up for artist presale that takes place on Oct. 22 at 10 a.m. local time.
