EJAE, Singer From ‘Kpop Demon Hunters,’ Signs With WME

EJAE, a breakout vocalist and songwriter behind the music of “Kpop Demon Hunters,” has signed with WME for worldwide representation in all areas.

The artist performed the singing vocals for Rumi, the main character of “Kpop Demon Hunters,” an animated movie centered around a popular K-pop girl group, HUNTR/X, that moonlights as demon hunters. The film has been a smash hit for Netflix and it’s catchy soundtrack has appeared on music charts across the globe, including the Billboard Hot 100.

In addition to performing Rumi’s vocals, EJAE played a pivotal role in the music and development of the film. Her performance on the single “Golden” helped track reach the top of the Billboard Hot 100 for eight consecutive weeks, a feat never achieved by a female K-pop act. She also has songwriting credits on other tracks from the soundtrack, including “How It’s Done, “What It Sounds Like”, “Your Idol” and “Hunter’s Mantra.”

EJAE recently performed “Golden” with HUNTR/X on “The Tonight Show,” and the song was nominated for Song of the Summer at the MTV Video Music Awards. She has also earned accolades for her music in video games, having been nominated for Best Original Song in a Video Game for “Rebirth” in League of Legends.

In addition to her work in “Kpop Demon Hunters” and League of Legends, EJAE has written  and contributed background vocals for renowned K-pop groups. She worked on aespa’s “Drama” and “Armageddon” as well as Red Velvet, Le Sserafim, TWICE, Taeyeon, NMIXX and Fifty Fifty.
