Duck Club Entertainment Expands Talent Buying Department

Boise, Idaho-based Duck Club Entertainment has added two members to its talent buying department with the hire of longtime NYC promoter Jake Szufnarowski as Senior Talent Buyer, as well as Izze Rumpp as Talent Buyer. Today’s announcement notes that the expansion to the team “demonstrates the company’s ongoing commitment to growing live music opportunities in Boise, the Treasure Valley and across the state of Idaho.”
The company books Treefort Music Fest, which is set for March 25-29, 2026, along with their flagship venue Treefort Music Hall, its intimate upstairs bar Hap Hap Lounge and the historic Shrine Social Club.
Duck Club Presents also curates concerts and events across Idaho, while Duck Club Touring books a roster of emerging artists throughout the United States including Blood Lemon, French Cassettes, Disco Doom, The Shivas and Sunbathe, among others.
Szufnarowski, who has been a part of the New York music scene since 1994, got his start a the influential Wetlands Preserve. He most recently served as a Talent Buyer for Bowery Presents (AEG), where he booked shows at numerous NYC venues, including Terminal 5, Brooklyn Steel, and Webster Hall. Today’s announcement points out that he will continue overseeing the Rocks Off Concert Cruise series from Boise.
“I couldn’t be more excited by an opportunity in the booking game than to be joining Duck Club Entertainment. When COVID-19 hit, I gave up my NYC apartment and rode my motorcycle west and eventually settled in McCall. I fell in love with Idaho, and its people. In 2022, I ended up working at Treefort Music Fest as the Artist Check-In Manager. I quickly fell in love with the City of Boise, Treefort and the entire Duck Club team,” Szufnarowski said in a statement.
He added, “Today, Boise and Treefort Music Fest remind me a lot of Austin and SXSW when I started going there in 1997–blue capital cities in red states where robust music and arts scenes are thriving and drawing in more creatives of all fields to bolster the already vibrant community. Boise is a rapidly growing city with a rabid appetite for live music and a thriving local scene that Duck Club has been championing since its inception—a dedication that influenced my decision to join the organization and is often missed by larger promoters amidst the city’s rapid growth.
“And while it might be more isolated here than in Texas, I like to say that Boise might be in the middle of nowhere, but it’s on the way to everywhere!”
Rumpp is a Boise-based promoter, curator, and DJ who is joining Duck Club Entertainment after more than a decade of collaboration with the company. Over the years she’s helped shape Treefort Music Fest’s programming and marketing, along with launching Artfort — the festival’s art-focused programming track.
“Making the return to Boise from my time in California has been one of the most rewarding decisions,” Rumpp said. “Seeing my long-term friends (and colleagues) continue to nurture and grow the Boise music scene was something I wasn’t willing to miss. I am incredibly grateful and excited for the opportunity to continue that journey alongside an incredible team, with a role that has been forming in the most kismet of ways for a long time.”
