Hinterland Music Festival 2026 will mark the first time the music and camping festival will expand to four days. Registration to purchase tickets is ongoing now.

The 11th edition of Hinterland is set for Thursday, July 30 through Sunday, Aug. 2 in St. Charles Iowa, located 30 minutes south of Des Moines. Described as “a beautiful rural escape,” the festival features music, camping, art, craft vendors and family engagement.

The festival is known as a favorite among artists, earning praise such as “Hinterland for president!” by Kacey Musgraves and “One of my favorite crowds ever,” by Clairo.

Today’s announcement notes that Hinterland “is the first music festival using the Fair AXS system, which helps ensure tickets end up in the hands of real fans and not bots.” From now through Sunday at 10 p.m. CT, fans can register for a chance to purchase four-day tickets at their lowest price through Fair AXS at hinterlandiowa.com.

The complete 2026 lineup and additional ticket information will be announced soon.

Past editions have included performances from Chappell Roan, Zach Bryan, Leon Bridges, Sturgill Simpson, Kacey Musgraves, Bon Iver, Brandi Carlile, Willie Nelson, alt-J, Lake Street Dive, Hozier, Noah Kahan, Band of Horses, Grace Potter, Ray LaMontagne, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, among others.
