Sonic Temple: Tool, Shinedown Round Out Headliners For Expanded Ohio Rock Festival, Featuring 140 Bands and Five Stages

After hosting what it called the largest rock event in Ohio’s history in 2025, Danny Wimmer Presents’ Sonic Temple Art & Music Festival is expanding with more than 140 bands and five stages on tap for Historic Crew Stadium in Columbus, Ohio, May 14-17.

Festival passes are on sale now, with single, four-day, GA and various VIP and premium packages available.

Joining previously announced headliners My Chemical Romance and Bring Me The Horizon, Sonic Temple’s stacked lineup features the usual DWP gamut of all things rock, with dozens of artists representing an endless array of rock genres and subgenres including Pierce The Veil, Good Charlotte, The Offspring, Godsmack, Sublime, Marilyn Manson, Staind, Lamb of God and dozens more.

Extra notable occasions include the festival being part of American thrash pioneers Megadeth’s farewell tour, the festival debut of Body Count featuring Ice-T, being part of Sepultura’s farewell, a rare appearance from Coal Chamber, a 20th anniversary of pop-punk  Red Jumpsuit Apparatus’ Don’t You Fake It, reunions from nu metal band Snot and metal band Egypt Central.

Beyond the music, high quality food and beverage and hospitality elements, artist-led activations and an established, respected reputation, Sonic Temple promises a celebration of visual art with onsite Art Boutique, Art Towers, and Art Walls returning and featuring live, large-scale installations and interactive pieces that unfold in real time throughout the weekend.

This year’s Sonic Temple hosted 175,000 people over four days, according to Danny Wimmer Presents, making it the largest rock event in Columbus history In May 2025 and setting a new highwater mark for attendance at the event, featuring more than 100 bands on four stages.

The promoter recently solidified its long-term commitment to the city by announcing a five-year extension of its partnership at Historic Crew Stadium, keeping the event at the site through at least 2030.
