City Pop Waves Hits U.S. Coasts With ANRI In 2026

City Pop Waves, a new headline show series spotlighting Japanese City Pop artists, continues in 2026 with ANRI for her “ANRI Live 2026 Timely!!” tour presented by Live Nation. The second tour of the series includes two performances at Brooklyn Paramount in Brooklyn, New York, on May 17 and The Wiltern in Los Angeles on May 20.
Tickets for the dates go on sale Oct. 31 at 10:00 AM local time. VIP packages and fan experiences for the two dates include a variety of perks including premium tickets, an autographed tour poster, an exclusive VIP gift item and pre-show merch shopping.
ANRI has been dubbed the “Queen of City Pop” thanks to the growing popularity of Japanese City Pop with a new generation of fans drawn to the nostalgia and throwback sound. Timely!!is her landmark 1983 album, which features some of her most well-known hits including “I Can’t Stop The Loneliness,” “Remember Summer Days” and “Shyness Boy.”
The City Pop Waves series also includes Taeko Onuki’s first-ever concert outside of Japan, taking place at LA’s The Wiltern on Feb. 7. The first show in the series was Masayoshi Takanaka’s two-night, sold-out performances at The Wiltern in March, which was his first U.S. appearance in 40 years. With the series, Live Nation continues to bring genre-defining Japanese artists to audiences around the world.
