Jack Johnson announced his “SURFILMUSIC Tour,” a 43-date North American run in 2026. The tour marks Johnson’s return to the road since 2022.

In support of the tour, Johnson released a new single “Hold On To The Light” featuring Hermanos Gutiérrez today on all streaming platforms. The song offers an early glimpse into the upcoming SURFILMUSIC soundtrack, which was scored by Johnson and Hermanos Gutiérrez for a new documentary featuring Johnson that is set to debut next year.

SURFILMUSIC chronicles Johnson’s evolution from surfer to filmmaker to world-renowned musician. The film weaves through the making of his surf films Thicker Than Water (1999) and The September Sessions (2000), which ultimately launched his multi-Platinum music career. The new documentary features many of the surfers who appeared in the original films, including Kelly Slater, Rob Machado and the Malloy Brothers.

For the soundtrack, Hermanos Gutiérrez, longtime admirers of Johnson’s music and surf films, joined him in the studio, where Johnson also reunited with producer Mario Caldato Jr. (Beastie Boys, Seu Jorge, Beck), who co-produced several of Johnson’s albums, including In Between Dreams and Sleep Through the Static.

Johnson’s creative connection with Hermanos Gutiérrez extends from studio to stage next summer and fall with the brothers opening for Johnson on many dates along with Lake Street Dive and G. Love.

The “SURFILMUSIC Tour” will visit many popular outdoor venues including Merriweather Post Pavilion, Columbia, MD (June 26); Blossom Music Center, Cuyahoga Falls, OH (July 7); Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre, Greenwood Village, CO (Sept. 2-3); and The Gorge Amphitheatre, George, WA (Sept. 26). In California, under-the-stars stops include the Greek Theatre, in Berkeley (Sept. 30 and Oct. 1), the Santa Barbara Bowl (Oct. 3-4) and two nights at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angles (Oct. 10–11).

A green pioneer, Johnson continues his commitment to sustainability on tour via a partnership with Reverb. The Village Green, a hallmark of Johnson’s tours, will feature local and national All At Once non-profit partners focused on environmental stewardship, plastic-free initiatives and sustainable local food systems, offering fans meaningful ways to connect and make a difference at every show.

In partnership with the Johnson ‘Ohana Foundation, all net proceeds from Platinum and Premium ticketing programs will directly support non-profit organizations in each city. In addition, $2 from every ticket will benefit the environment – with $1 being directed to Reverb’s Climate Project Portfolio to support carbon reduction projects and $1 supporting All At Once non-profit patterns working on environmental initiatives in communities near each concert and across the country.

Fans can register for the presale Nov. 9. The presale begins Nov. 10 at 10:00 AM local and runs through the week, leading up to the general on sale Nov. 14 at 10:00 AM local time.

Citi is the official card of the “SURFILMUSIC Tour.” Citi cardmembers will have access to pre-sale tickets beginning Nov. 10 at noon local time, until Nov. 11 at 11:59 PM local time through the Citi Entertainment program.
