WME Merges With Allegro To Bolster Music For Visual Media Department

Allegro Talent Group will be merging with WME’s Music for Visual Media department, the companies announced today, to bolster the latter agency’s film and television music division.
Allegro is a boutique agency established in 2012 by Patty Macmillan, representing composers and music supervisors. With the merger, Macmillan and agent Lauren Kahler join WME and continue to represent their existing clients. WME partner Bradley Rainey will continue to lead the agency’s Music for Visual Media department.
WME and Allegro will have a strong roster of multi-hyphenate composers, many of whom have successful careers in touring, production, songwriting and direction.
“Allegro has built a reputation for deep artistic integrity and a truly bespoke approach to client development,” Rainey said in a statement. “Their roster is both world-class and forward-thinking, and they represent artists whose work is redefining how music drives narrative. Together, we look forward to creating expanded avenues for growth across film, television, games, and emerging platforms.”
Between the two agencies, WME and Allegro have represented six of the past seven Academy Award winners for Best Original Score. Allegro’s award-winning clients include Hildur Guðnadóttir (“Joker,” “Chernobyl”), Volker Bertelmann (“All Quiet on the Western Front,” “Conclave”), Clément Ducol and Camille (“Emilia Perez”), Dustin O’Halloran (“Eleanor the Great,” “Lion”) and Natalie Holt (“Loki”). They all join WME’s standout roster, which includes Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross, Ludwig Goransson, Jonny Greenwood, Max Richter and Mica Levi.
“From the beginning, our agency has been about meaningful relationships, creative trust, and long-term career guidance,” Macmillan said. “WME shares those values, and this partnership allows us to build on our foundation while offering clients the scale and reach of a global powerhouse.”
