Dan + Shay Signs With The Core Entertainment For Management

Dan + Shay have new management with today’s announcement confirming the country duo will now be represented by The Core Entertainment co-founders and CEOs Simon Tikhman and Kevin “Chief” Zaruk.
“We’ve always admired The Core’s “music-first” mentality, and from our first conversations with Simon, Chief, and the entire team, we knew that it was the perfect home for us. They have built something truly special, and we are proud to be a part of the story they are writing. We believe in their passion and vision for our music, and can’t wait to launch the next chapter of our career together. The best is yet to come,” the group’s Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney said in a joint statement.
As an announcement from the duo’s PR team points out, Dan + Shay are known for their “unmistakable harmonies, cinematic songwriting, and globally engaged fanbase,” with a catalog that includes hits such as “Tequila,” “Speechless,” “10,000 Hours” (with Justin Bieber), “Glad You Exist,” and “Save Me The Trouble.”
Following the group’s 2024 album, It’s Officially Christmas: The Double Album, Dan + Shay have kept the holiday spirit going with the recent release of “Long Live Christmas” via Warner Music Nashville. They also released a cover of Taylor Swift’s “Back To December.”
The Core Entertainment is guided by “a family-driven culture and hands-on approach,” with a management company, record label, and strategic brand and media ventures under one umbrella. The company’s multi-genre roster includes Bailey Zimmerman, Cameron Whitcomb, Nate Smith, Josh Ross and Nickelback, among other artists.
“Dan + Shay are rare talents—world-class vocalists, songwriters, and performers whose music continues to connect on a global level. We’re honored to join their team and look forward to building on everything they’ve created while opening new doors across music, touring, and partnerships,” The Core Entertainment’s Tikhman and Zaruk said.
Dan + Shay’s agent is Creative Artists Agency’s Jeff Krones.
In September Dan + Shay wrapped up the North American trek, “Heartbreak On The Map Tour,” which featured amphitheater and theatre dates across the U.S., along with a few gigs in Canada. Reports submitted to Pollstar Boxoffice from the tour include a Sept. 21 show at Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre in Englewood, Colorado, that sold 8,441 tickets and grossed $551,214.
The group was previously managed by SB Projects.
