CAA Signs Train: Exclusive

CAA has signed the multi-Grammy Award-winning band Train. Today’s announcement follows news earlier this week that the pop rock band had confirmed dates for a 2026 tour celebrating the 25th anniversary of their career-defining sophomore album, Drops of Jupiter.
The setlist for the “Drops of Jupiter: 25 Years in The Atmosphere Tour” will feature hits and beloved tracks from across their acclaimed catalog spanning over 30 years including the RIAA Diamond-certified, No. 1 “Hey, Soul Sister,” double-Grammy-winning track “Drops of Jupiter” and five-time Platinum anthem “Drive By.”
Produced by Live Nation, the 2026 trek takes places in amphitheatres and theaters across the U.S. The tour starts July 8 with a show in West Palm Beach, Florida, at iTHINK Financial Amphitheatre, and includes stops in 38 cities including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Nashville, Dallas and Phoenix. The last show is booked Aug. 30 in Auburn, Washington, at White River Amphitheatre. Train will be joined on the road by multi-platinum-selling rock band Barenaked Ladies and acclaimed singer-songwriter Matt Nathanson, including a co-headline show with Barenaked Ladies at Toronto’s RBC Amphitheatre.
As today’s announcement from CAA proclaims, “for over three decades, Train has been captivating audiences around the world, earning global recognition with their signature blend of rock and pop, infectious melodies, and heartfelt lyrics.”
The band has had 14 songs on Billboard’s Hot 100 Chart and 13 albums on the Billboard 200, six of which reached the Top 10: Drops of Jupiter (2001), My Private Nation (2003), California 37 (2012), Bulletproof Picasso (2014), For Me, It’s You (2016), and a girl a bottle a boat (2017).
Look out for a new EP from Train this spring to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Drops of Jupiter.
The band’s accolades over the years include three Grammy Awards, two Billboard Music Awards and multiple diamond/platinum/gold citations. “Hey, Soul Sister” and “Drops of Jupiter” have reached RIAA Diamond status and surpassed one billion streams on Spotify.
Along with their hit songs and touring, which has included headline amphitheater and arena dates across North America and beyond, Train has connected with fans with their semi-annual Sail Across the Sun Cruise. The band’s at-sea music festival is set to return in 2027.
This week’s tour announcement noted that singer-songwriter, producer and longtime collaborator Butch Walker has officially been announced as the newest member of the band. Walker toured with Train last summer and was featured on Save Me, San Francisco; California 37; Bulletproof Picasso; and AM Gold. Train is comprised of frontman Pat Monahan (lead vocals), Hector Maldonado (bass, vocals), Jerry Becker (keyboards, vocals), Walker (guitar, vocals) and Matt Musty (drums, vocals).
Outside of music, Monahan has appeared on TV and in film with credits including the 2021 Hallmark Channel original movie, “Christmas in Tahoe,” which was inspired by Train’s album of the same name, which he executive produced. He also has an award-winning wine portfolio, Save Me, San Francisco Wine Co, which he created in 2011 and has sold over 10 million bottles and won over 100 medals. Proceeds from Monahan’s wine business support San Francisco-based charity Family House, which helps families of children with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses.
Recent reports submitted to Pollstar Boxoffice for Train include a Sept. 12 show at Ironstone Amphitheatre in Murphys, California, that sold 5,039 tickets and grossed $409,125. And in May the band played a run of gigs in Australia and New Zealand, including a May 24 show at ICC Sydney Theatre that sold 5,517 tickets and grossed $474,809.
Train continues to be managed by Crush Music.
