Pollstar hosted its annual reception for this year’s Impact International: UK/Euro honorees at the stylish CUT at 45 Park Lane, right opposite London’s famous Hyde Park, Nov. 11.

Around 120 professionals working in or being invaluable partners to the international live business attended this exclusive invite-only gathering, providing for fruitful conversations and great company until late in the night.

Among them, of course, this year’s 30 Impact International: UK/Euro honorees, with only a few not able to make it in person for scheduling conflicts. This year’s cover star, two-time Impact International recipient Barrie Marshall, for instance, was prepping for Sir Paul McCartney’s sold-out Pittsburgh show, when the ceremony in London kicked off.

Brij Gosai, Director, International Business Development & Partnerships, opened proceedings by welcoming guests, and highlighting this year’s Impact International sponsors, including presenting partner and supporter of the event from day one: Ticketmaster.

This year’s Promoter and Management Partners are Eventim Live, Clipper’s, Ejekt Festival, Fest Team, Raw Power Management, Rock Werchter, Saloni Production, and S.J.M. Concerts; Tour Production partners are Tysers Live, Ticketek Entertainment Group, TAG, Rock-It-Cargo, Neg-Earth, L-Acoustics, and Fly Victor; Agency partners CAA, One Fiinix Live, UTA, and Wasserman Music; and Venue partners Hallenstadion Zurich, Motorpoint Arena Nottingham, Paris La Defense Arena, and Populous.

Pollstar’s Impact International reception has grown into a cool, intimate, and exclusive industry hang in its fourth year. One is hard-pressed to find an event, where that many high-profile industry pros, including legends of the game as well as the current and next generation of leaders, have that much time and space to simply talk and connect – while enjoying the excellent food from the team around CUT executive chef Elliot Grover.

Pollstar European editor Gideon Gottfried inducted each of this year’s honorees, who came up to receive their personalized Pollstar Cover edition of this months Impact International special issue, and collect their well-earned round of applause.

The official program concluded with a one-on-one conversation with Herman Schueremans, founder of Rock Werchter, and CEO and MD of Live Nation Belgium, one of this year’s honorees, who talked about the origins of his love for live music; how to remain relevant as a festival over the course of 50 years; the uniting quality of music, and more.

The remainder of the night was spent networking, and enjoying CUT’s excellent cocktails, which matched the food in terms of quality and the love that went into their preparation.

Huge congratulations to all of this year’s Impact International: UK/Euro honorees! And see you again in London next year.
