Erykah Badu Announces Mama’s Gun Live From Kings Theater In Brooklyn Dec. 6

Streaming platform VEEPS will present “Erykah Badu: Mama’s Gun | Live from Kings Theater” on Dec. 6 at 9:00 PM ET. The livestream captures a special performance celebrating the 25th anniversary of Badu’s seminal album Mama’s Gun.

Badu is currently on the current leg of her “The Return Of Automatic Slim Tour: Erykah Badu Mama’s Gun ’25,” which runs through Dec. 10 with multiple nights and single stops in Boston, Detroit, Cincinnati, Atlanta, Houston, Chicago, Nashville and Dallas in addition to Kings Theater in Brooklyn, New York.  

Released in 2000, Mama’s Gun solidified Badu’s position as one of the most innovative and influential artists of her generation with a blend of neo-soul, hip-hop and jazz elements, combined with Badu’s distinctive vocal style. The ongoing celebration of Mama’s Gun features reimagined arrangements of classics from the record including “Bag Lady,” “Didn’t Cha Know?” and “Cleva” alongside selections from Badu’s extensive catalog.

For the streaming event on VEEPS, Badu will perform the album in full at Kings Theater, which is a historic venue in Flatbush that opened in 1929 as a movie palace.

Advance tickets are $19.99; day-of-show tickets will be $24.99, with free access for VEEPS All Access subscribers. The stream will be available globally with on-demand replay for ticket holders after the live broadcast.
