Foo Fighters announced they’ll perform a special benefit concert at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California, on Jan. 14. All proceeds from the show are set to be donated to Hope The Mission and Los Angeles Mission, two organizations Dave and Jordyn Grohl have long supported.

“Dave, Jordyn and Foo Fighters are a striking example of what’s possible when we decide to show up and give back,” Rowan Vansleve, President of Hope the Mission, said in a statement. “This concert will be more than just a celebration, it’s a statement that it will take all of us working together to end homelessness in our city so that no one is left suffering on our streets. We’re incredibly grateful to partner with the band. Foo Fighters and their fans have a reputation for always stepping us to help when they need it, and this concert will be no different.”

For those hoping to attend the show, tickets will be available in-person only on Dec. 7, with a ticket purchase/donation drive at the Kia Forum. Fans wanting to participate in the pre-sale are encouraged to bring an item of either socks and underwear (male, female, adult, children and in all sizes – new and packaged only), dried pinto beans (bagged), pasta (bagged or boxed), dried rice (bagged) and a request of no canned goods or perishable items. Donations will support Hope the Mission and Los Angeles Mission to provide food, clothing and direct services to unhoused and food-insecure Angelenos. Monetary donations will support the organization in their efforts with providing shelter and services to those experiencing homelessness.

“The impact of this event goes far beyond one night of incredible music,” Dennis Oleesky, CEO of Los Angeles Mission, said in a statement. “Every ticket purchased and every donation will directly help feed and house our unhoused neighbors. We’re honored Foo Fighters are joining to bring real help and real hope to people across Los Angeles.”

The benefit concert takes place on Grohl’s 57th birthday, with the musician writing in a statement, “What a better way to spend my 57th birthday than making a bunch of noise with a bunch of friends for a good cause. This ain’t just a big ass rock show, it’s a big ass party with a heart. Turn up the volume, turn up the hope, but most of all…. TURN UP. The best gift is TO GIVE.”

Foo Fighters are managed by Silva Artist Management’s John Silva and Michael Meisel. They’re booked by WME’s Don Muller in North America.
