SGPS/ShowRig Acquires Niscon Inc.

SGPS/ShowRig has acquired Niscon Inc., marking a notable move within the world of entertainment rigging, automation and motion control. Led by SGPS/ShowRig President Ned Collett, the move combines SGPS/ShowRig’s capabilities with Niscon’s Raynok software and advanced control systems. Niscon will continue to operate from its Ontario headquarters as a division of SGPS/ShowRig.
The addition of the company to SGPS/ShowRig’s portfolio create a unified approach to automation, motion control and stage rigging, with the aim to deliver efficiency, creativity and safety to concert tours, festivals, film and television productions and more. Niscon’s owner, Denis Lefrancois, will guide the integration of his company with SGPS/ShowRig.

Assisting Lefrancois as the company’s merge include co-founder/CEO Joseph Jeremy, who will remain a part of the company’s leadership team, as well as co-founder and principal architect of the Raynok software, Peter Sinkner, who will continue on in a consultancy role.
