Rodrigo y Gabriela Embarking On Anniversary Tour In 2026

Rodrigo y Gabriela, an acoustic guitar duo that broke through with their self-titled debut in 2006, will be celebrating the anniversary of their landmark album with shows in the U.S., Europe and the U.K.

The Grammy-winning duo from Mexico City will perform the album in its entirety in intimate venues across the world. They kick off their anniversary tour May 6 at Reel in Albuquerque, New Mexico, followed by concerts at Tempe’s The Marquee, Yaamava’ Theater in Highland, Inglewood’s YouTube Theater, Chicago Theatre and New York’s Beacon Theatre.

Rodrigo y Gabriela are known for their vibrant instrumental music inspired by Latin rhythms, heavy metal and classic rock. The acoustic guitar duo moved from Mexico to Ireland, where they performed at local pubs and landed a gig opening for Damien Rice. The duo began garnering fans everywhere they played, and after dropping their seminal debut album, Rodrigo y Gabriela became an international phenomenon, performing on talk shows across the globe and working on films such as Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides and Puss in Boots.

The duo has been on the road the past few years and performed at festivals such as Bluesfest Byron Bay and Ghent Jazz Festival. One of their most successful solo outings was a 2024 show at Fox Theater in Oakland, California, where the band grossed $84,458 off 1,143 tickets sold, according to Pollstar Boxoffice.
