Second Season of “Yo Gabba GabbaLand!” Features Musical Guests Ziggy Marley, Santigold And Yola

Apple TV+ announced the musical lineup of second season guests on the Emmy-nominated “Yo Gabba GabbaLand!” including Santigold, Ziggy Marley, Sharon Van Etten, Sleigh Bells, Yola, Still Woozy, Silversun Pickups, Chicano Batman, The Aquabats! and Hemlocke Springs.

The second season of the show with a rock edge and a fuzzy technicolor heart premieres on Jan. 30 with nex-gen host Kammy Kam (Kamryn Smith), who also tours as part of “Yo Gabba Gabba! Live” theater tour.

Viewers will also hear fresh jingles from Freedom Fry, Turnpike Troubadours, Ginger Root, CHVRCHES, King Tuff, Mates of State, Hatchie, Sylvan Esso and Chai. 

In addition, the new season features returning fan favorites and new guest stars including Billy Eichner (“Bros”), Tiffany Haddish (“Girls Trip”), David Arquette (“Scream”), Brendan Hunt (“Ted Lasso”) and Jaime Camil (“Jane the Virgin”).

The original “Yo Gabba Gabba!” TV series debuted on Nickelodeon (Nick Jr.) in 2007. Created by Christian Jacobs and Scott Schultz (members of The Aquabats) and hosted by DJ Lance Rock, played by Lance Robertson, the show resonated with preschoolers and adults who appreciated the mix of animation, live action and music segments with guests like The Roots, MGMT, Weezer and Biz Markie, who had a recurring beatbox segment called “Biz’s Beat of the Day” along with pop culture guests such as Jack Black and Elijah Woods.

The series ceased original programming after four seasons in November 2015 but was revived as “Yo Gabba GabbaLand!” on Apple TV+ premiering on Aug. 9. 2024 with Kammy Kam along with familiar characters Muno (a red cyclops), Foofa (a pink flower bubble), Brobee (a shy green monster), Toodee (a blue cat-dragon) and Plex (a yellow robot).

All four seasons of the original Emmy-nominated series are available on the Apple TV+ platform. The season 1 reboot, which featured Anderson.Paak, Local Natives, Lucius, Kurt Vile, Betty Who, Twin Shadow, Ty Segall, The Linda Lindas, Big Daddy Kane, Claud, Dayglow, Miyavi, Prestyn Smith, Reggie Watts, ROMderful, The Drums and The Interrupters is also available on the platform.
