Chance The Rapper has new agency representation with Wasserman Music now exclusively repping the Grammy Award-winning artist worldwide.

His agents at Wasserman are De’Mont Callender and Matt Elam. Chance was previously represented by United Talent Agency.

Along with the Chicago-born rapper/singer/songwriter/producer, Wasserman Music also announced the following signings this week: Cece Natalie, Jay Park, Joss Dean, Lemon Jelly, Locked Shut, Machine Head, Natanya, Odymel, “Tangled in Concert, “Victor Manuelle and Wage War. For updates from other companies, look out for this week’s weekly signings to be posted Friday on Pollstar.com.

As his bio on publicist Shore Fire Media’s website notes, Chance the Rapper has earned praise over the years from the likes of President Barack Obama calling him “an outstanding role model” and GQ declaring that he’s “a generational voice.”

At the 2017 Grammys he was awarded Best New Artist, with his third mixtape, 2016’s critically acclaimed, winning Best Rap Album.

In August Chance independently released his second studio album, Star Line, as the follow-up to 2019’s The Big Day. The album landed on several “Best Of” lists for 2025, with Rolling Stone calling Star Line a “remarkable return to form.”

To go along with Star Line, Chance The Rapper embarked on a Live Nation-produced tour of theatres that took place in September and October. The 15-show tour included stops at New Orleans’ The Fillmore, Boston’s MGM Music Hall, Toronto’s Rebel, Denver’s Fillmore Auditorium, San Francisco’s Masonic and Los Angeles’ Hollywood Palladium.

A few weeks before Star Line was released, Chance made a surprise appearance at hometown festival Lollapalooza that was announced the day before the performance.

Chance, who Shore Fire notes comes “from a long line of activists and community organizers,” has given back to the Chicago community via his nonprofit organization SocialWorks. The nonprofit was formed to inspire and empower youth through arts, education and civic engagement and has contributed $10 million to the Chicagoland community, impacting 10,000 students annually.

The rapper spoke to Pollstar in 2023 about organizing the inaugural Black Star Line Festival, a free festival and conference in Accra, Ghana, that welcomed 52,000 attendees.

“The goal wasn’t to perform for 50,000 people, I’ve performed for 90,000 people, it was to perform for my people, which I got to do in that moment,” Chance told Pollstar. “And two was to produce an event that was safe and intentionally Black that no one there could in their right mind ever forget they took part in. I think we accomplished both those goals and it really felt solidified in that moment.”

Other highlights from his career include appearing as a coach on season 23 of “The Voice” in 2023 and season 25 in 2024 and producing his 2021 concert film, “Magnificent Coloring World.” Outside of music and activism, Chance is also an actor who earned a 2023 NAACP Image Award nomination for Outstanding Guest Performance for his portrayal of the character on the HBO Max series Southside.

Reports submitted to Pollstar Boxoffice for Chance include an Oct. 2 show at The Rooftop at Pier 17 in New York that sold 3,449 tickets and grossed $262,950.
