BTS Announce New Album, Tease 2026 Tour

BTS is back. The K-pop superstars started the new year in a big way, with this week’s news that BTS has a new album due out in May and a world tour to be announced next week.
As the group’s PR team declares, “with a new album and world tour on the horizon, 2026 is poised to be the year of BTS.”
BTS’ fifth full-length album is set for release on March 20 at midnight ET. The 14-track album is described as reflecting “the culmination of BTS’s journey to date and [defining] the group on their own terms.” The announcement adds that the LP “is driven by each member’s honest introspection as they collectively shaped its direction by weaving their individual perspectives into the music.”
Dates and venues for the world tour will be unveiled on Jan. 14 at midnight Korea Standard Time (Jan. 13 at 7 a.m. PT). The trek – which promises to be “a defining cultural moment, celebrating a reunion set to be etched in pop culture history” – marks BTS’ first large-scale tour since 2021-2022’s “Permission to Dance on Stage.”
This week’s announcement notes that BTS will reveal further details about the album and world tour via the group’s new official website, 2026bts.com.
Highlights from BTS’ 2022 tour include the run’s final two shows, which took place at Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium April 15-16, selling a total of 100,420 tickets and grossing over $18 million, according to reports submitted to Pollstar Boxoffice.
