Nashville’s Grand Ole Opry Celebrates Dolly Parton With Fourth Annual “Opry Goes Dolly” Birthday Show Jan. 17

The Grand Ole Opry will once again celebrate Opry member Dolly Parton with the fourth annual “Opry Goes Dolly” show on Jan. 17 at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville. The Dolly-themed birthday bash celebrates Parton’s 80th birthday by highlighting her iconic ‘80s hits plus other classics from her legendary catalogue.
Among the artists and guests scheduled to honor Parton include Opry members Vince Gill, Lainey Wilson and Rhonda Vincent as well as hit songwriter Trannie Anderson making her Opry debut, with more to be announced soon.
The special Saturday night “Opry Goes Dolly” is a one-of-a-kind show that falls two days before the dual Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Country Music Hall of Fame member’s actual birthday on Jan. 19. The “Opry Goes Dolly” show will honor her with tributes throughout the evening with highlights featured in an upcoming episode of “Opry Live” on Opry social channels, Circle Country and more than 100 syndicated stations across the U.S.
Tickets for “Opry Goes Dolly” are on sale now and beginning today, $5 from every ticket sold to the Jan. 17 show will be donated to Parton’s Imagination Library, a book gifting program that mails free, high-quality books to children from birth to age five, regardless of their family’s income.
Other plans for the celebration include birthday treats baked using Duncan Hines Dolly Parton’s mixes given to Opry House tour guests (while supplies last) on Jan. 17 and the Opry Shop will launch a limited 80 Years of Song collection that will be available for pre-order beginning today at Opry.com and available for purchase on Jan. 17 at The Opry Shop which will also feature Parton’s music and merchandise while supplies last during “Opry Goes Dolly.”.
A massive birthday card has been created for fans to sign at the Opry House on Jan. 17 and even though Parton isn’t scheduled to appear in person, a Dolly Parton impersonator will be on the Opry Plaza during the Jan. 17 event for photos with fans.
