Target Center, the home of the NBA’s Minnesota Timberwolves managed by Legends Global, announced Amy Rahja as general manager of the 20,000-capacity arena.

Rahja boasts more than two decades of experience working in the live entertainment and event industry, with expertise in venue management, booking, marketing, artist relations and more.

In her new role, Rahja will oversee day-to-day operations of the Minneapolis venue, including management, promotion and operation of the facility. Other responsibilities include purchasing, booking, marketing, finance, human resources, food and beverage, box office, advertising, production, maintenance, security and more.

“Amy has a very deep understanding of both touring and venue strategy and is passionate about building and maintaining strong teams – a winning strategy for a premier venue like Target Center,” said Leonard Bonacci, senior vice president, stadiums and arenas, Legends Global. “Since she came onboard, she has been truly instrumental in its success helping to cement its position as one of the country’s top arenas, and we are excited to see her thrive in her new role.”

Target Center ranked No. 113 on Pollstar’s Year-End Top 200 Arena Grosses chart with a reported haul of $14.7 million. One of the venue’s most successful nights was a sold-out Charli xcx last April, which grossed $2,006,443, according to Pollstar Boxoffice.

As general manager, Rahja will oversee day-to-day operations at the 20,000-capacity venue, including the overall management, promotion and operation of the facility.  Responsibilities include purchasing, booking, marketing, finance, human resources, food and beverage, box office, advertising, production, maintenance, security, emergency and crisis management, and more.

Prior to working at Target Center, Rahja held leadership roles at VStar Entertainment Group, Feld Entertainment and Broadway Across America. She began working at Target Center as the director of booking in 2019. She rose up to assistant general manager in 2022 and has been essential in securing high-profile events, including Big Ten basketball tournaments and USA Gymnastic Olympic Team events.

“I’m truly excited to step up into the general manager position and continue to guide this talented team and work closely with partners and promoters to ensure that every event is a success,” said Rahja, a graduate from the University of Michigan and IAVM’s Venue Management School. “I will remain dedicated to creating an environment where all team members feel valued and guests are treated like VIPs every time they walk through our doors.”
