John Mellencamp Sets ‘Dancing Words Tour — The Greatest Hits’

Heartland rock icon John Mellencamp has announced a 19-city tour celebrating his biggest songs.
The Live Nation-produced “Dancing Words Tour — The Greatest Hits” will visit amphitheaters and theaters across the U.S., beginning July 10 at Acrisure Amphitheater in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The routing takes Mellencamp to Northwell at Jones Beach Theater in the New York City area, the Hollywood Bowl and more before the tour wraps at Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California, Aug. 12.
The tour promises performances of Mellencamp’s best known songs including “Pink Houses,” “Jack and Diane,” “Small Town,” “Hurts So Good,” “Authority Song,” “Key West Intermezzo (I Saw You First),” as well as tracks that he hasn’t performed live in more than a decade, including “R.O.C.K. in the U.S.A.,” “I Need a Lover,” “Wild Nights” and “Ain’t Even Done With the Night.”
Citi presale runs 10 a.m. local Jan. 20 through 10 p.m. Jan. 22. General on-sale is set for Jan. 23 at 10 a.m. local.
