Joy Oladokun Signs With CAA (Exclusive)

Joy Oladokun, the folk, soul, pop, rock and Americana songwriter, has signed with CAA, the agency shared with Pollstar.

Oladokun, a queer Black musician who is the daughter of Nigerian immigrants, interlaces activism within her work. The artist broke out in 2021 with her album in defense of my own happiness (the beginnings) and her protest anthem, “i see america.” That year, she was a finalist for Americana Artist of the Year and for the Recording Academy’s Special Merit Award for Best Song for Social Change. She’s collaborated with artists including Chris Stapleton, Brandi Carlile, and Maxo Kream.

Oladokun is managed by ATC Management’s Jay Saunders and her attorneys are Kent Marcus and Stephanie Westerman at Marcus & Colvin, LLC.

With 25 headline reports submitted to Pollstar’s Boxoffice, Oladokun has sold a total of 15,927 tickets, Her recent live performances included shows at August Hall in San Francisco and The Peppermint Club in West Hollywood, California, on Nov. 12 and 15 respectively with Bartees Strange, and a date at Blue Note New York in New York City on Nov. 19.
